Frequently Asked Questions
What is an Affiliate program?
An affiliate program is essentially a relationship between you (as an advertiser) and us (Betfred). You are in effect an advertiser for us and in return for this we pay you a profit of any players you refer to us.

How is the commission calculated?
Your commission is calculated based on the Net Gaming Figure in your affiliate statistics. This figure represents the difference between total bets and wins in the Betfred casino plus the sum of poker tournament fees and poker rake. From this figure the amount in bonuses is removed as Betfred do not pay commissions on funds issued by the company. The bonuses are removed as these affect the overall net gaming figure. The actual calculation for the Net Gaming Figure is:
(Bets – Wins) + ((Poker Rake + Poker Tournament Fees) – Bonuses) + (Bingo Bets – Bingo Wins)
Example based on the above formula using a 25% Revenue Share.($10,000 - $5,000) + ($500 + $250) – $300
($5,000) + ($750) - $300
$5,750 - $300
$5,450 = Net Gaming
$1362.50 = Your Commission (25% of the Net Gaming Figure)

Can I use any marketing tactics to advertise for Betfred?
Betfred Affiliates forbid all advertising methods which use "scumware". A complete list can be found in the GPWA website (http://www.gpwa.org/forum/what-scumware-150927.html?highlight=scumware). Any affiliate caught using those methods will be banned from our program and his revenues will be split among all our current affiliate partners. We have many methods of analyzing traffic coming in to our websites and we have measures in place to trace a click coming from any prohibited marketing method. Anyone who can notify us of affiliate abuse may also be rewarded.

Is it possible for me to lose money in the Casinos?
The good news is that you are not liable for any loss that Betfred may incur. This means that you are promoting a completely risk-free affiliate program. If the players you referred win we will deduct those winning amounts from your balance with us and we will not carry a negative balance over to the next month.

How come my online stats haven't changed?
The date and time of the last update is usually only a few hours old. There may be delays on the update depending on how busy the servers are although this is very unlikely. Stats are generally up to the minute.

I see that new Real accounts were created, but there was no money there for me. Why?
This happens when players you refer have downloaded our software and opened a Real account but at the time the stats were last updated, they had not yet gambled or lost any money. The best thing to do in this situation is sit back and be patient and check your stats the next day.

Is there a minimum amount that I need to earn in order to receive my commission?
Yes. The minimum amount of earnings must be at least $200 to qualify for a payment that month. If the balance is less than this it will be carried over to the next month without any casino loss interfering with this. Betfred Affiliates shall pay the webmaster all amounts due for the month within fifteen (15) working days following the close of the month and shall make available at a selected URL a statement (online statistics) providing in reasonable detail the basis for such payment.

Does Betfred have any site, keyword or PPC restrictions?

Any affiliate found to be in breach of this will be asked to remove the sponsored links or face expulsion from the Betfred affiliate program.
